I was stumbling through the Internet again for the 10000000000 time this week and I saw a true hottie, that I needed to get on the site ASAP. Turns out that Dodgeball is a real sport! Doritos in fact is hosting a tourney in the UK where the winner will get a chance to hangout with Jen, and go to Las Vegas to play in our national tournement. This is freaking awesome, and I love Jen Ellison for putting on this outfit. I still think it’s nuts that People really play this sport but guess what Jennifer Ellison is one of those people. Damn this chick is hot and I wanted to salute her immediately! She is a very popular pin up model and actress in the UK. Check out some of her photos.

Thiago Alves could upset the World Tonight on UFC 100
July 11, 2009 by MarkM · Leave a Comment
If you don’t already know who Thiago Alves is, you need to brush up on your UFC knowledge. Thiago Alves will be on the top of his game tonight after winning 7 straight contests in a row. Everyone has been looking at Thiago as a brawler type strikers, but I feel that Thiago has more to his game great striking. Regardless I like Thiago’s chances considering, I don’t expect him to want to take this fight to the ground. He without a doubt has the power to embarrass the current Champion George St. Pierre and everyone is harping on that. He also has a great fighting resume, beating tough competition like Josh Koshcheck, Matt Hughes, Karo Parysian and more. Thiago is the Stronger fighter in this match. Thiago is also the younger fighter at 25 year old. Alves is currently a very dangerous fighter who is in top physical shape. He has posted an MMA record of 22-4. GSP has defended his title successfully five times in a row, so he may be due for a letdown. Regardless betting on Thiago makes more than sense considering the current money line on the fight:
-280 GSP
+220 Alves.
That means if you put $100 on Alves and he wins the bet will pay out more than double at $220. On the other hand to just make a payout of $100 on GSP you would need to put up $280 dollars and of course he would have to win. I am sorry but at those odds i am going for Thiago Alves all the way people! It’s still up to you who you bet or root for, that just my take on this fight.
Also is anyone else sick of watching Brock Lesnar fake it like he is mad about the past Mir fight on the new UFC 100 preview? I mean really can you act more like this is WWE? I love how they are making this about Lesnars retribution and not Frank Mir’s title shot. I feel as if Mir could get destroyed in this contest, yet if I was gambling man I would put my money on Mir, the payoff is just so high. Lesnar is a monster but he really isn’t that smart! Frank isn’t small at 255 so I am still going to side with Frank, the more proven and experienced fighter.
The Money Line for this fight is
-255 Lesnar
+195 Mir

Will Ricky Rubio be coming to New York?
June 27, 2009 by MarkM · Leave a Comment
This just feels like dejavu doesn’t it. I remember when no one knew about Steve Nash, and he was picked up through an offseason trade, and then his career just exploded! I love thinking that Ricky Rubio could be that player for the New York Knicks. Ricky is a top tier talent, there is no doubt about it. This kid has the speed, athletism and mentality to make an impact this year playing on the New York Knicks. He also would give Chris Duhan the much needed time off that he could not get last season.
Ricky was drafted by Minnesota during this season’s draft along with two other high profile guards, Jonny Flynn and Ty Lawson . Since then, Ricky’s Father has vocalized Ricky’s discontent in playing for a small market team. So it is very possible that Donnie Walsh can pull something out. If he does not Ricky will probably stay in his European league. Considering Ricky Rubio is only 19 he has time to work on his game even more.
If the Knicks can score a player like Rubio it will not be surprising to see him jump to superstar status, because he will be in the same system that created the man he is compared to, Steve Nash. Their have been reports of the Knicks needing to trade either Lee or Robinson for this deal to go through with Minnesota. Nate Robinson without a doubt is a ticking timebomb. He will begin to breakdown just like every other small player in the NBA who’se game is entirely based on his jumping abiliity. Once that happens he will be a complete defensive liablilty with no speed in the lane! All it would take is one knee injury and this kid would have nothing! To secure Ricky Rubio quickly, Donnie Walsh should resign Robinson, in order to just trade him while his value is high and pick up the young talented Ricky Rubio. Nate Robinson, however, is a restricted free agent, so he will not sign for atleast 3 to 4 weeks so he can test the waters and find out his true value in the NBA.
Ricky Rubio belongs in New York. The Knicks have needed a team first mentality point gaurd for quite sometime. Duhan was the start in changing the mentality of this team for the better. Ricky could be the end. With Ricky Rubio on the Knicks now, They might be the team to beat in the east coming 2010, since they won’t have to waste cap space on a free agent PG.
Shaq to be traded to Cavs (what a fatty!)
This is just upsetting to me. Honestly what the heck is going on with these people. they must be like, “We got to make sure Lebron stays happy so he doesn’t leave. So what should we do? I got it, yeah lets bring the Big Diesel to help out! Are you crazy? Shaq is a walking nightmare for any superstar on any squad. Who wants a 7-1 tall Center, who is definitely a “has been”, who still has an enormous ego as if it was 1995? I say Lebron won’t! Shaq cannot help anyone win a ring, anymore. He is fat and washed up. I don’t care what anyone says, this is a bad Idea.
Yes I will admit that the suns have helped him get back into better shape, but Shaq has never had a hard work ethic so I just don’t see him getting better in the twilight of his career. I mean really man just look at his free-throws, if he worked hard he would be able to hit them by now. Shaq has a long history of not even showing up to mandatory team practices! He is the last thing I would bring to a NBA finals contender! I was reading my friends site http://americaswhiteboy.blogspot.com and he had a great post, which spurred this entire article. I still cant believe my eyes. This stuff is really happening! Shaq is moving and I just can’t understand what for. This guy is a BUM!
Come meet the pride of Brazil, Andressa Soares AKA the Watermelon Woman AKA Mulher Melancia AKA the Big Booty Bombshell!
This week’s hottie is going be more than a little bit extreme than normal. I was just glancing through the internet and I found a girl who had an extremely large bottom. Without a doubt the largest one I had ever seen on a fit girl. As many of you already know when your glancing through photos on Google images, sometimes certain things will always draw your attention. Trust me people this is one of them. I don’t care if you are a woman or a guy, nobody would just click by this week’s Sportsroids Hottie, Andressa Soares! This girl has enough buns to feed all the starving children in this world for one week.
They call her “Watermelon Woman” because she has butt cheeks that can only be rivaled by two large watermelons. Thats no joke!
I am sure she has flaws but it is sure nice to see a girl who doesn’t starve herself and enjoys working out. I have never met a girl who can enjoys squatting and not worrying about getting bulky. It sounds stupid but I really really love that she does squats and other lifting exercises!
Everyone loves a pretty girl with big body shaking it hard, especially the Sportsroids.com crew. Andressa has posed for playboy so I would say we aren’t the only ones who have taken notice of this Brazilian babe. Therefore, Andressa we salute you as one of our own! You will always have a home at Sportsroids.com
You are by far my favoriate brazilian celebrity! We loved you in playboy, so we just wanted to say May you live forever and dance harder with ever passing day. I sure wonder if this girl will ever make it to 7th speed? And for all those you-tube booty shakers out there take a lesson from the best, grow a butt!

Ode to the Superbowl Champ Pittburgh Hotties!
I love the burgh, but I will tell you the reason has nothing to do with football. It’s the cheap bars, food and women that did it for me. I went to school out there and being form New York I had a lot of adjusting to do. The one thing I noticed, that rocked, In Pittsburgh, every girl in the city loved the NFL and watched the Pittsburgh Steelers, religiously. That’s awesome, because chicks in jerseys acting all hot and drunk and stuff rules! Nothing more American than that! Well Since I doubted the Steelers last season, I feel I owe it to the Steelers nation to post up some hot pictures of some of the steel cities finest, so without a further adieu please enjoy this subculture of the Steelers Nation.
Everyone Loves Plaxico!! haha great video with Pittsburgh Hottie!
Tony Gonzalez traded to Atlanta, for only a 2nd round pick?
April 23, 2009 by MarkM · Leave a Comment
I think this guy still has a lot in the tank, and when you look at the production of all the new tight ends in the league, Tony is still the 600 pound gorilla in the room. Do you think that Winslow, or Vernon Davis are going to put up the numbers that this guy will, this year? Tony Gonzalez is one of the best TE in the history of the game, and I love the fact that the media has grown tired of this consistent performer. It must be really boring for them to realize that the new age of TE is not panning out the way Tony G has, and guess what now he is on a offensively strong team. With this move I really see the Falcons offense being a force to be reckoned with and I will be drafting Matt Ryan this year as my fantasy stud!

Tedd Ginn Jr’s party at a Cleveland Night Club goes bad, when Bills Safety, Donte Whitner, tries to fight a cop
April 12, 2009 by MarkM · Leave a Comment
Honestly, If you haven’t heard about this yet, It’s because it involves lesser known NFL player. Yet, I am sure over the next couple of weeks it will make big news. This Saturday night Ted Ginn Jr. hosted what was to be his birthday party in a night club in Cleveland.
This is nothing out of the ordinary because the Miami WR was born and raised in Ohio right outside of Cleveland, and he has many friends in the area. Now, here is the juicy part. Ted is still friends with alot of his high school football buddies who he played with at Glenville High. Several players in this group were and are NFL players, including Donte Whitner Safety for the Buffalo Bills.
Now, I have no issue with this story up until this point. There is nothing wrong with a player hanging out near his hometown with his old school mates, but you need to realize the where and when. NFL players at a night club, late in the night is a equation that is asking for disaster. Has anyone learned anything, form the tragic events over past 3 years? I mean really considering all the shootings and moronic fights, players should now realize that anywhere you go you are likely to be targeted by a true hater. Some one who wants to throw down or rob you just to say they did it to a celebrity! So back to the story, Donte Whitner at the Party at around 3:00 am had gotten into an altercation with some one at the club, and a pretty big brawl had broken out. Off Duty police officers who were at the club, attempted to slow down Whitner, then Whitner decided to push them off and continue fighting, which is where the story begins to get really bad. Soon, on-duty Police officers arrive at the scene and what does Donte do? He tries to square off with them, and then in doing so, gets tazered! That is just flat out stupid. Ted Ginn Jr. first should have known better than to have his party at a public club. But if you do plan on doing that, Ginn should have made sure that the party was secluded in a PRIVATE ROOM, that has it’s own bar, separate entrance and of course security .
Players need to be smarter than this, you are not a regular person and you are a target for the idiot haters, who want to brag that they beat up, robbed, or killed a NFL player. Donte Whitner gets no sympathy from me, especially considering he attempted to square up and “fight a police officer”. That is just stupid. He not only has made himself look foolish but he is making it 10 times harder for the League, which has be fighting the idea that many of it’s players are criminals. We have all heard the issues surrounding Pacman, Tank, Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis and the many others that have had legal issues in the last 20 years. The NFL should start being more proactive about this problem. If you act like a jerk in society than you have no business being employed by the NFL.
Actions like this should not be associated with the NFL, but sadly enough they are due to players like this. I personally believe that Donte Whitner should be suspended without a doubt from the NFL. Actions like this are not acceptable, and any other course of action would just be a slap on the wrist. NFL players can not act like this, not for the children’s sake, and not for the fan’s sake, but for the sake of the game. Donte Whitner’s teammate Marshawn Lynch was the driver in a hit-and-run incident last summer but escaped with only a traffic ticket. This type of behavior needs to end, especially out of buffalo bills players. These players need to be held accountable just like everyone else. I know players mess up, but come on man! Who doesn’t! If you haven’t heard of Dante Whitner until now, I am sure you won’t forget his name. Moronic actions can sometimes spark a players popularity and that’s just terrible thought. We are always looking for the player we can fix, and I think that is just dumb, because we are breeding and fostering this type of behavior. I am sick of news like this. Players have a tremendous gift and it is nothing short of a waste to act like this soiling the good name of the people who have not only come before you but also after you.
In closing I just want to say one thing to all NFL players, “after 1 am STAY OUT AND AWAY FROM THE CLUBS!” Just get a really nice vacation house or something!
Jay Cutler should be a Lion after the NFL Draft Day
Personally, I hate the way the lions do business in the NFL. I believe that they are the worst run organization from the ground up. They chew through coaches and QB’s faster than any other team in the NFL. They were even would dumb enough to act as if Kitna was a franchise QB. I am not a coach and even I knew that wouldn’t work out. Since, the Lions destroyed their relationship with Barry Sanders, they have just made big mistake after big mistake in the NFL Draft. Just thinking that they picked Joey Harrington than Charles Rogers in the very next year with the 2nd overall selection makes me sick to my stomach. They have concentrated too much on skill positions in that last decade of drafts but they have never addressed their needs at QB properly.
The Lions need a overhaul on the offensive line, yet, this season, the draft will be deep with OL’s. Therefore, there is more potential to get a great O-lineman later in the draft. Understanding that fact, they can try to land Cutler, by trading down the 1st overall selection with the Broncos. They will still be able to land a great OT in the 12th pick selection. If they don’t trade down and just trade the pick for Cutler with no other considerations the lions would still have a 20th pick in the first round, to address whatever other concerns they wish to fix through the draft. If the Lions don’t lock up Cutler by trading picks, they are just plain dumb in my eyes, because Cutler is a “Known” Franchise QB that you can build your team on. He is the real deal and has the experience to prove it. Can you say that about any other QB in the draft? No. Sanchez has a lot of upside and Stafford is really not battle tested, at least in the NFL. Jay Cutler could fill this role immediately, and the Lions could get him by trading down or trading the pick entirely.
Take the sure thing and go with Cutler seems pretty simple to me, so don’t screw this up, Lions management!!

Greener Pastures For Jeter?
March 1, 2009 by Theboinger · 1 Comment
Derek Jeter has been the main man at SS ever since he arrived on the scene in New York. Yet, without a title to show for it in the past eight seasons Jeter is feeling the heat. He spent the first eight years of his carrer taking a beating from fans and media. The topic of conversation almost nightly on New York talk radio would always spawn the debate of who was the best shortstop in baseball. Through all the frenzy though give Jeter credit, he outlasted them all. Silencing most if not all of his critics. Looking back, any one of those guys would give it all back for Jeter’s resume.
Now, those who were silenced have a new focus which stirs their whispering. Jeter’s demise as a shortstop. In fact the whispering is turning into quite a low roar. It was hard to see at first but if you were baseball savvy you saw the writing on the wall. A revolving door on aging veteran outfielders trying to not so gingerly replace Bernie Williams. A huge albatross in Jason Giambi at first base which ulitmately cost Bernie Williams the chance to write his own ending to his Yankee legacy. Tension, angst and ego’s clashing between Jeter and A-Rod blanketed most of the problems. Compounded by the colossal loss in the 2004 ALCS to the Boston Red Sox.
Although I would not have expected Jeter to step aside at shortstop it would have been a tremendous gesture both as a teammate and as a Yankee. He would not be the first Yankees great to move from the infield to the outfield nor would he be the first Hall Of Fame shortstop to do so. Nevertheless it is a no brainer right now. Jeter plays shortstop like a free safety who is not afraid to tackle a fire hydrant. Perhaps not the most talented, he is clearly the most versatile athlete on the field. The Yankees have themselves a gift that could solve all their outfield problems. Robin Yount a true power hitting shortstop made the move because of a shoulder problem and still took in another MVP in center for the Brewers. Jeter does not have to win the MVP or hit home runs in center or left to prove he is a winner but surely he would play like one.
Make the move Derek! If you want to win another World Series you have to do it like you have done it in the past. Take it on your shoulders. Prove to be worthy of the “C”. Put your ego away and put this team on your back and take them and your career, home!
Jenny Finch: One hot Softballer
I never watch softball, I confess. I actually was just surfing the net when I saw a picture of this girl. Jenny was a 2-time Olympic Softball player on the USA national team. Now I don’t know if she really constitutes hot, but I would love for all you to comment and let me know if she deserves to be in the Sportsroids hotties section. Many people have told me she is hot, yet I am just not that convinced! Here are some pictures of her, I will be awaiting all your feedback!
GSP owns BJ PENN in UFC 94
It was a contest that in my mind should have never happened. GSP must have no real competition in the light heavyweight class to even have Dana White have this fight. Honestly I am surprised it went as long as it did considering the strength advantage that St. Pierre had. After watching this fight it is understandable that BJ Penn is revered for his mastery of the guard. He survived 4 rounds only to quit in the 5th. Dana White needs to work harder on bringing better fighters because if GSP has no real challenges things like this will not keep me interested…I don’t pay to watch an American get slaughtered…Please Dana get GSP a real fight considering how much better he has become…
Football Hottie #1: Jet’s own Jenn Sterger
January 27, 2009 by MarkM · 3 Comments
All I have to say is damn this girl is FINE! Recently the Jets have picked up this hottie, whom you might have seen before at Florida State Seminoles games. She is most definitely sexy and hopefully she will be able to keep moral high even though Rex Ryan is coming to town. She has been on several different media sources over the years. Today, in fact, WFAN’s Joe and Evan in the Mid-day were talking about her. This girl is paid to be hot, and that RULES! She has already posed for playboy, before the Jets even knew about her. Good lord people, she is why I know god loves America. If you don’t agree then someone please someone show me some hot Arabs like this. So here are the pictures, so lets us know what you think!

Natalie Gulbis is the PGA Tours Newest resident hottie. She is any country club caddy’s dream at 5′9 blonde with blue eyes. She also has a remarkable drive of the tee which would make even tiger woods excited. She also has really nice pair of sand traps that we think you should all get the chance to see. She is rumored to be playing the back nine with Steelers QB, Ben Roethlisberger. Either way her boyfriend will be playing in the biggest game of his life this week against the Cardinals! Go Kurt Warner! Regardless she is hot and worth a look. It’s about time they decided to get a super hot female golfer. I’ll be honest now I am way more likely to watch, way to go PGA tour! Have fun guys and remember safety first!
Brett Favre will he return next season with the Jets?
December 27, 2008 by MarkM · Leave a Comment
I have loved Brett Farve playing the role of Broadway Brett this season. From his first performance people embraced him, loved him for his destruction of the Miami Dolphins. Brett Favre has however dealt with a lot of criticism since that first game. It’s upsetting, to know that one of the greatest players to ever play has had to deal with such BS from the biased media, who will love you when you win and crush you when you lose. Honestly you can really understand the New York media when applying it by paraphrasing Patten’s Hollywood speech, which I believe would sound something like this;
“That’s the New York way, they love winners. The winners are always embraced. New Yorkers traditionally love to fight. All real New Yorkers, love the sting of battle. When they were kids, they all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, the big league ball players, the toughest boxers … New Yorkers love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. New Yorkers play to win all the time. They wouldn’t give a hoot in Hell for a man who lost and laughed. Because the very thought of losing is hateful to New Yorkers.”
Many of you are asking, “Will he come back, a Jet?”. The more I ponder this perplexing question, the tougher I realize this will be to answer. Understanding that Brett has always loved challenges, It is hard to see me walking away from the team, which he has made a contender, sculpting them only with his winning attitude and will to win. Brett Favre may also be feeling the stress of watching his family have to deal with all the criticism that in Green Bay he may not have dealt with on such a big town level.
Deanna Favre in October of 2008 wrote on the Favre Hope Foundation blog about how she felt about such criticisms.
The more I think about this, the harder this decision is. I can’t speak for Brett, but all I can say is I hope he comes back. Because for every 1 media moron that bombs him, 50,000 fans admire him. For every time someone doubts him, 1,000,000 believe in him. He is a game changing QB who still plays at a very high level, who can win a Superbowl for the New York Jets. He will never admit how important he is for this team, but I believe he is the glue that keeps the Jets machine moving forward. Without Brett would they even be in the Playoff hunt? I don’t think so. Yes, they have a great core of players, but the veteran knows how to keep the players up, and I believe his antics would be sorely missed, if he was to depart from that locker room.
I know one thing, if the Jets don’t make the postseason, and the Media attacks Brett I believe he will retire. It is a shame, because this man still has the gift, and if the media isn’t careful, The NFL might lose a superstar and a perfect Role Model, who has let us in and shared with us his story. The Lord does not make QB’s or people like Brett Favre anymore, and we at Sportsroids want to salute him! Here’s to you Brett!

SportsRoids Salutes Pink Hat Nation
September 19, 2008 by sportsroids · 1 Comment
by Mark M
We’ve been doing alot of work here at SportsRoids over the past month. It has been pretty demanding keeping up on and creating new content for our readers, but I would say that is the bulk of what we do. We get you new ideas new stories, and we never “copy and paste” like many other websites do. It is all to often that you’ll see a blog whose owner no doubt is only trying to make money on clickthroughs or Internet advertising campaigns and has devoted no time to producing original content for thier page. This is a sad concept but many people use it. SportsRoids will never just regurgitate some other sites content, because we believe that takes away from what we are, which is ourselves. We want you the reader to get chance to really know us. I am very happy to report that we at SportsRoids have found another blog which share this “original content only policy”. That blog is call Pink Hat Nation. These guys knew how a great sports blog is supposed to be run, yet they must have been chewed up by the rigors of running the site. Pink Hat Nation was a great friend to Sportsroids.com our beginning stages, We will leave up this salute in Memory of the late great Pink Hat Nation. I suggest that everyone clicks through here and pays their respects to this site, while it is still up. Pink Hat Nation’s articles and posts were top notch. Pink Hat Nation we Salute you!
