jeremy jarmon NFL supplemental draft from 2009!

Defensive end Jeremy Jarmon, selected by the Washington Redskins in the third round, was the only player picked in Thursday’s NFL supplemental draft. Since 1977 the NFL have held an extra supplemental draft. Many fans do not know about this, and I find it really interesting. In all the years of the NFL supplemental draft, NFL teams have only picked 37 players from it.

The Redskins by picking up Jarmon today, will forfit a third-round pick in the 2010 NFL draft as well as the sixth-round pick from the Jason Taylor trade. Jarmon is a graduate who has posted 17.5 sacks in 34 starts for Kentucky. He has ok speed running a 4.76 in the 40 yard dash while wieghing 278 pounds at 6-3. This kid has tested positive for banned substances before, and that is why we might not have seen teams taking the chance on him. The Redskins have once again added a young player who has alot of Upside!
