Bloggin Bills: Is TO shaking things up already? What are the Bills Chances at Success?

T Izzle, is the Dizzel, in the Buffalo Bizzel.

T-izzle, is the Dizzel, in the Buffalo Bizzel.

I wonder if TO looks to everyone like he is already troubling the waters in Buffalo by opting out of the team’s voluntary workouts, as he recently has reported. I mean, it’s the first real official function that has been held by his new team and he could already raise hairs as well as questions with this move. However, to me, just let the guy live.

First of all he’s already 35 years old. And seriously, how big a deal is this stupid mini three or four day work out? It must literally be a few weight lifting sessions, some standard conditioning, and three fine meals a day. I think if a 35 year old man who is in the 14th year of his career says he doesn’t want to go to the voluntary work out, who cares. TO has been in the league so long now, he knows how his body reacts to stress, or when too little is too little, and he’s led the league in TD catches over the last three years.

I wouldn’t jump on TO just yet. Let’s wait and see if he has a sideline tirade, or speaks his mind a little too much to the media before we start chastising him.

And seriously folks… the Bills suck. They don’t have a chance. They started the season 4-0 and stutter-stepped it the rest of the way to a 3-9 finish. That’s not the stuff of champions, and neither is Trent Edwards or the bum-butt Buffalo Bills. They will easily be swept by Tom Brady’s Patriots, and would get destroyed by many of last year’s playoff teams.

And if you ask me, I would liken watching the Bills hopeful run-oriented approach to a lower level online madden gamer attempting to beat someone in the 20s.

T.O. sent to Buffalo!

t owens presser T.O. sent to Buffalo!

Honestly, when I heard the Bills broke down and made a pact with the devil, I will admit, I was a bit jealous. Really, Terrell look where you landed buddy! ha-ha now he has to play second fiddle to the Beast Mode in the backfield. I personally think it’s sad watching Terrell pawning himself off to the highest bidder over the last couple of seasons, like some NFL whore or something. I really miss the T.O. who played with Rice and Young. The young hardworking guy who thought more about Superbowls than he did paychecks. I guess I really shouldn’t say anything about T.O. since I don’t have a close relationship with him, but what the hey everyone else is doing it. I love Terrell but I hate T.O.! Right now I can already hear the BS fantasy wanna be guru’s calling Trent Edwards to be a top performer next year, please people just stop it. THEY NEED A LINE NOT T.O. Really I hope that this move does not kill his career, playing for the BIlls of all teams. Come on Drew keep it together man. I always saw him going to the place where all NFL greats go to die, Washington!

T.O. Out. Why not trade him?

Pack your bags T.O.

Hold the Popcorn the Movie hasn’t started yet!!!

Well T.O. has been cut from the Cowboys and many people are asking why not trade him instead of cutting him.  The Cowboys gave up a lot to get Roy Williams and the possible could have gotten some of that back by trading T.O..  In this situation you have to weigh the pros and cons of this move, whenever you have a player like T.O. you can get a second round pick or proven vet in a trade but the trading block process is long and tedious (almost like litigation).   It could take all the way into the next season for them to get what they want from a trade and they might not even get what they want from trading T.O..  This would then bring the media circus back to Dallas again and put a lot of stress on the team.   The Cowboys decided to get rid of T.O. now,  just for the later reason.  By cutting T.O. he is no longer a part of the time and the organization can move on in new direction.   The main reason he was cut was because of the growing sentiment in the locker room and organization, with numerous people who are a part of the team both players and staff, that T.O. needed to go.  Also by doing this it is easy for the coaches to begin work on the plays and routes that they will focus on in the off-season if T.O. was on the trade block, they would still have to factor him in, just in case he was coming back next year.  Despite the value T.O. has as a trade the Cowboys made the right decision in cutting him.

T.O. issues again? Come on Jerry get him the rock!

funny to crying T.O. issues again? Come on Jerry get him the rock!Terrell Owens, is up to his old tricks again. But who can blame him. No balls= no playoffs for the shotty Dallas Cowboys. We have found an old video that a lot of Dallas fans can now relate to ! Tony don’t be silly throw him the ball! I am sorry but if you allow T.O. to have only 55 receptions by week 14 something is wrong. Kevin Walter is rated higher than him for Pete’s sake. I realize that T.O. has had a trouble childhood, and always feels like an outsider, which is something he hates. Can you really blame him for being passionate? Can you really blame him for trying to make a change to help his team? Jason Witten has definitely been overused, and I am sorry if I had to choose between T.O. and Witten it should be obvious. Tony do the right thing, dance with the girl that brought you. Without T.O. you might not have lasted in the NFL, or have ever become a starter! Remember it was T.O. who went to bat to get you the starting position over Bledsoe. So Tony give that man the respect he deserves! Your not Donovan Mcnabb, life without T.O. could be a disaster for you. He is a superstar, yes aging, but still a superstar. Come on Tony show him the love!

Andre Johnson is a fantasy stud!

andre johnson big texans sportsroids Andre Johnson is a fantasy stud!

Andre Johnson comes up big for Texans in 29-28 victory

Andre Johnson today proved to all the owners willing to take a chance on him that he was well worth the risk. He racked up 178 Yards today, with 1 TD on 10 catches today against the Miami Dolphins. Many would argue that he lead the Texans to their 1st win of the 2009 season today. Andre is a perfect Fantasy WR for several reasons. I really feel he is like the younger more gifted T. Owens. Andre has great speed and great size as well as great leaping ability, making him a fantasy #1 week in and week out. Before he was injuried in 2008 he was averaging around 100 yards per game and leader for WR in TD’s and yards. Sportsroids would like to salute all the fantasy football owners who took the chance on the repaired Andre Johnson.

Laveranues Coles…CATCH THE DAMN BALL!

Dear Laveranues, Brett Favre is a better quarterback than Chad Pennington. It took Randy

Moss one quarter to prove he was still Randy Moss last year when opening the season against the Jets. The Patriots went from “contenders” to outright “favorites” after that game because Randy Moss went out and caught the damn ball. He did not cry and whine or beg or plead or offer any built in excuses about playing with a new QB or being in a new system. In fact neither did Wes Welker. They had no problem going out every down, running their routes, catching the ball or even making blocks down field. Now why should it be any different for you? You went out and made a big deal about your contract for a second time now with the Jets and you have not produced. You have not proved that you are the go to guy for any one of your QB’s. Tony Romo went out and won the job because he could find T.O. no problem any time any place. Everything else fell into place for him after establishing that. You do not offer that to your QB. Not Brett, Kellen,Chad,Patrick Ramsey, Mark Brunell or Vinny. If they cannot count on you to be there on every down why do you deserve number 1 money? What do you offer any team as a number 1? At best even with a HOF as your QB you were still at best a BYE week replacement fantasy WR. So far through two game you have not done anything to prove otherwise. Chansi Stuckey is outplaying you. Is he better than you? No! No? Well he sure is playing like it and he is playing with more desire than you and it shows. Not

to mention he’s got no problem catching passes from a guy who never threw a pass his way before a few weeks ago. If you cannot get excited about playing every week with Brett Favre then what are you doing here? We anxiously await your answer or your departure, which ever comes cheaper!

Well it’s the beginning of the season so who is going to win the Superbowl? TO early to tell?

Not for me. I am going to call it right here and right now before the season even starts, before a single snap is taken. Bold you say. Very; but I called it when the Steelers won in 05 and called it when the Colts won in 06 before a single snap was ever taken. Will I be right? probably, but the statistics are against me. So who am I saying? You really want to know?

Well For the AFC I have the Pittsburgh Steelers after winning the Division and fighting through the toughest schedule in the NFL the Steelers will push out to the super bowl.

For the NFC I have the Dallas Cowboys. Yes the boys, no they are not my boys (I hate them) but I gotta keep it real. After they come in second behind the Eagles in the Division the Cowboys will make the push to the Super Bowl. Which means a repeat of the 1995 match up probably with the Steelers playing the colts in the AFC Championship game again. With the Steelers winning it all. Why? After losing to the Cowboys in the regular season they will win this rematch because in the NFL the losing team always has the upper hand. So there you have it folks. My super bowl picks, so make sure you write them down, note the time, date and lock it up because I called it.
