Eddie Royal’s steals the Spotlight

Man oh man, the rookie wideouts are getting it done early this year in the season. Desean Jackson put up huge numbers on sunday, and now Eddie Royal stole the show. The Bronco’s used him alot. I mean, they had plays for him that were creative and entertaining, built in to showcase his talents. He ran the ball off of WR pitches, he caught a good amount of passes and he even attempted to throw a pass. Eddie Royal was everywhere. Eddie’s performance makes it hard to believe that he is even a rookie, because he played like an all star.

Regardless, This guy is a huge fantasy asset. ESPECIALLY In leagues that count kick return yards for receivers. It seems, because of his speed, he has alot of planned looks written in the playbook. If he is available in your league, be sure you pick him up. The opportunity to sign a WR like this out of the free agency comes very seldom in fantasy Sports. Eddie Royal had the best Rookie debut performance for any Bronco ever with 9 grabs 146 yards 1 TD, 2 carrys, 9 rushing yards, and 0/1 passing for 0 yards.

In the last pic he looks like he’s presenting a gift to royalty. Except he’s got a funny face on

I picked up Royal, but still would be wary when Brandon Marshall comes back.

    He’s quick as hell, tho.

What I would say in response to that Dave H, is that he is the #2. Brandon Marshall will put up more TD’s without a doubt. But since Eddie Royal is the number 2 we can expect to see alot of creative trick plays. On Monday night they ran a WR pitch as well as a trick play where royal was supposed to throw a long ball. I would expect to see alot more of this. He has a good enough burst to where they will look to feed him the ball in open space. Brandon Marshall is awesome but only due to his height which helps increase his TD production. Eddie is like a new Wes Welker. He is going to get alot of yards, and catches for your but if your league counts return yards this guy is a MUST START LOCK. He is the Kick returner and Punt specialist and #2 wide out. This guy is I believe is a no brainier for next week, because I doubt they will drop Cromartie on him, rather he would mostly run against Jammer and I believe Royal wins that battle. Min of 6 catches next week for Royal. Plus they are going to need to pass they are playing the chargers.

Word man, some good analysis. If he can do what he did to DeAngelo Hall then he’s going to punish most corners, especially out of the slot. If Antoine Cason or Weddle is on him, that’s a huge mismatch for Denver.

Or maybe DeAngelo Hall just REALLY REALLY sucks now?

Either way, it’s gonna be fun to see how Royal and DeSean Jackson do over the course of the season (of course i want Royal to fail when he plays the Bolts, lol).
