America Fights back against fat kids, South Carolina Mother is charged with cruelty because her son got fat

In South Carolina, there has been a big change of events for our country. If you haven’t heard parents are now legally responsible for the eating habits and weight control of their children. South Carolina Mother Jerri Gray is being charged with neglect, after allowing her child to be 555 pounds at the age of 14.
The 49 year old Mother skipped town in efforts of avoiding these charges. The boy Alexander Draper is now in protective custody, after being taking away by the department of child services. Jerri Gray is being charged with two felonies. The first charge she has been charged with is custodial interference which can carry up to five years in prison. The second felony charge is neglet of a child, which can carry up to 10 years. Jerri Gray now faces up to 15 years, all because she let her kid get fat just like the millions of other parents in this country. I am really interested to know what our readers think about this story, do you think she should go to jail because her child is morbidly obese?

I think the mother should be put in jail. Unless a child has a disease that makes them unable to help being large, it should be considered child abuse. Parents are responsible for teaching their children healthy eating habits and telling them when enough is enough. A child doesn’t know that they aren’t supposed to be eating 4 cheeseburgers from Mcdonalds on a daily basis. This is practically the same as starving your child, I believe anyways becuase it will result in the early death of your kid.
